Clinic Yaye Natou was founded by Dr. Saloum Cissé, a U.S.-trained, board-certified family physician who spent over two decades treating patients across underserved communities in the U.S.
For Dr. Cissé, home was always Senegal. And so was the mission. After years of witnessing both the possibilities and gaps in healthcare systems abroad, he returned to Dakar to build something different , something personal.Today, Clinic Yaye Natou brings 24/7, high-quality, people-first care to the heart of Ngor. We're redefining what a neighborhood clinic can be: modern, compassionate, rooted in trust.
Because quality care shouldn't feel distant.
Because every patient deserves to be seen, heard, and guided. Because families shouldn’t have to wait for hours , or pay too much , to get the answers they need.
We exist because you deserve good care.
At Clinic Yaye Natou, we believe that healing doesn’t only happen in clinics ,it starts at home. That’s why, in partnership with Fohsen, we are training family members and caregivers to confidently support their loved ones through everyday care. From learning how to manage chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure, to providing safe support for elderly parents or postpartum mothers , our workshops build practical, culturally relevant caregiving skills that reduce complications and ease emotional burden at home. Alongside this, our outreach team organizes free community health screenings in vulnerable areas to catch early warning signs of illness , because no one should get care too late. We aim to build a stronger, more self-reliant community , one caregiver at a time.
To reduce the emotional and financial burden of chronic illness by making quality care affordable and accessible — right where it’s needed most.
A future where Senegalese healthcare is decentralized, dignified, and data-informed. Where trust is built at every visit. And where community comes first.
